Waiting times for appointments and for processing applications will vary depending on your nationality and the time of year.
Users are therefore asked to submit their visa applications well in advance of their departure date.
The visa service checks the authenticity of the submitted documents.
If forged documents are submitted, the visa will automatically be refused and applicant will be negatively registered.
The French Embassy in Uganda is in charge of delivering Schengen visas and only Schengen visas (up to 90 days) for these countries.
Please note that only short stay visa application can be processed by the French Embassy.
The Schengen visa fee per application is fixed in Euro (60 €).
This fee has to be paid in cash and in Ugandan Shillings.
First, use “Visa wizard” to check, based on your situation, whether you need a visa and if so, what type.
The wizard will also tell you what documents must be enclosed with your application, along with the relevant fee.
Past this time, your application will be considered as uncomplete and will be refused/discontinued.
If you have to complete your file, insert the documents in an envelope to be deposited at the entrance of the Embassy and indicate your name, given name (as per passport) and your receipt number on the envelope.
Complete applications will be processed in priority.
